PURPOSE:To improve the dispetsion properties of an oxide magnetic material and to make it possible to sinter the magnetic material at a low temperature by a method wherein a specified amount of the ammonium salt of a specified olefin-maleic anhydride copolymer is added to raw powder as an addition agent. CONSTITUTION:In a method of manufacturing an oxide magnetic material, which comprises a process for conducting a mixing treatment of raw powder using water as a dispersion medium, ammonium salt of an olefin-maleic anhydride copolymer, which is shown by the formula, is added to the raw powder as an addition agent in a ratio of 0.01 to 5.0wt.% to the weight of the raw powder or ammonia salt of an olefin having carbon atoms (x) of 2 to 6-maleic anhydride copolymer in the olefin-maleic anhydride copolymer, which is shown by the formula, is added to the raw powder. Thereby, the oxide magnetic material, which has a high magnetic permeability and a high-density ratio of 90% or higher and can be sintered at a low temperature, can be obtained. |
