The indication device has a viewing window (5), in which is a marking device with a marking window (9) with a carrier (10), which is in engagement with at least one longitudinal guide on one of the two longer viewing window flanks (11), is displaceable along it, and of which at least parts are rotatable. The marking window (9) is arranged off-centre on the carrier. The complete marking window carrier is accommodated with a rotary degree of freedom around the axis of a circumference and a displacement degree of freedom in the direction of the longitudinal guide. The viewing window on at least one of its two longer sides is limited by a strip fixed only at its ends.
