The invention relates to a spherical or ball-shaped plastic item (1) with cutouts (2, 3) so that the item can be pressed down over low-energy luminous tubes (4), for use in the fastening of lamp shades (5) with spring retainers (6, 7) on low-energy luminous tubes (4), and herewith give these a shape which corresponds to conventional, incandescent bulbs for which the lamp shade's spring retainers (6, 7) are configured. The adaptor (1) also serves as shock-absorbing protection in packages during transportation and storage of the low-energy luminous tube (4). The shape of the adaptor and the character of the adaptor material provide the consumers with the possibility of using, at reasonable cost, lamp shades with spring retainers which could otherwise not be used on low-energy luminous tubes. |
