MULE FOR SANDAL HAVING MIDSOLE MADE OF FOAM PLASTIC AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To provide a mule or a sandal having a small number of part items and allowing easy manufacturing and assembling work and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:This mule or sandal comprises a midsole 15 made of a foam plastic plate with an expansion ratio of 20 to 50 times, which is integral from its tip to its heel portion with the heel portion made thicker than the tip; a cover material 16 covering the upper and peripheral surfaces of the midsole 15 and folded and bonded to the lower peripheral edge of the midsole 15; and an upper-equipped sole plate having an upper 12 whose edge is folded inward and bonded to the peripheral edge of a sole plate 14, with the edge of the upper 12 adjusted to and temporarily secured to the edge of the cover material 16 and is put on and bonded to the sole plate 14. A bag portion open only at the heel side is formed to insert the midsole 15 between the sole plate 14 and the cover material 16 and the midsole 15 is inserted into the bag portion through the opening provided at the heel side and is bonded.
