<p>A process is described for disposing of biomass, in particular liquid manure (slurry), by which biogas can be generated with particularly high yield and thus economical energy recovery is possible. The biomass for this purpose is fermented anaerobically, ammonia being removed during the fermentation from at least some of the biomass. <IMAGE></p>
