A pressure increase unit (2) which is fed from the circulating pump which supplies the pressure chamber with pressurised cleaning fluid has a twin-step piston cylinder assembly (3,5,8;4,6,9) whose input side (12) has a first chamber (8) fed from the circulating pump and with a first piston (5) which is connectable with a second piston (6) in a second chamber (9) of the output side which is connectable with the channel being cleaned and is in active connection with the first piston (5). The cross-section surface of the first piston is greater than that of the second piston. The volume of the second chamber is dimensioned so that it holds the entire amount of fluid required for cleaning the channel.
