The complex resistance dependent on temp. is used as the frequency determining unit of a frequency generator. A control (4) converts the pulse frequency produced in the evaluation circuit (1), to a corresp. glass ceramic cooking panel temp. The frequency determining unit of the evaluation circuit (1) is essentially an RC branch specified by the glass ceramic cooking panel section. The evaluation circuit is connected with the control (4) across a pulse former (2) and an amplifier (3). The control (4) assigns the frequency of the respective digitalised pulse sequence to a glass ceramic cooking panel temp.
