Leakage detection system for dangerous waste dump

The leakage detection system uses a number of detector elements (1), coupled to at least one evaluation device. The detector elements are cyclically tested in sequential or parallel configuration by the evaluation device, with calculation of the detected leakage location. Pref. the detector elements are tested via a current and/or resistance measuring mode. Pref. the detector elements extend parallel to one another beneath and/or to the sides of the waste dump in 2 relatively spaced planes in which the detector elements lie perpendicular to one another.
