Ink delivery control for offset printing

The ink is fed differently to zones on an ink roller transverse to the print direction. Photoelectrically detectable measurement fields are also printed onto the medium in each zone to enable actual values of ink associated with desired zonal values to be determined. No printing ink is fed to certain zones of the ink roller. Ink is fed to these zones by adjusting the delivery of ink to adjacent zones according to the comparison of the demanded and actual values of the measurement values in the zones with and without ink delivery.
