<p>PURPOSE:To exercise a power saving function without performing a complicated operation, and to use a device for a long period, by deciding the use/nonuse of an IC card reader/writer mechanism, and supplying a power source only when it is used. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted of a portable terminal equipment main body part A, an interface C, and an IC card reader/writer part B to which an IC card is inserted. When a power source switch means (b) is turned on, a main body processing signal 6 is outputted from a control part (a), and an operation and IC card reader/writer use monitoring program is operated, and the power source switch (b) is held at a closed state. When a process progresses, and the process of an IC card reader/writer mechanism (j) is required, an IC card in-process signal 5 is outputted from the control part (a), and a logical product programming means (d) is operated, and signals 8 and 11 are outputted, and a transistor (g) is turned on, then a power source is supplied to the mechanism (j). Also, a means (e), when the operation of the main body part A is not operated for more than a prescribed time, opens the mechanism (j), and the means (b) by a stop signal 7, thereby, a power supplying to the control part (a) is cut off.</p> |
