PURPOSE:To continuously output exactly the same edited images even with the trial printing operations. CONSTITUTION:This image recording device consists of an instruction input means 13 which inputs the instructions given for the output contents of images and given for the editing contents of originals, a bit map memory 10 which stores the editing information in the image area of an original, the editing information processing means 7-9 which set the editing information in the image area of the original of the memory 10 based on the editing contents instructed in a prescanning and then read the editing information out of the memory 10 in a main scan and in synchronism with the reading of the original, an image processing means 5 which applies the editing processing to the image area of the original based on the editing information read out of the memory 10 in the main scan, a recording means which records the edited images, and a control means 12 which performs the prescans and main scans to record the edited images, carries out the main scan against a main print output instruction with no prescanning when a trial print output is instructed, and then reads the editing information out of the memory 10 to record the edited images. |
