PURPOSE:To provide a photographing device which can find a distance between an object to be photographed, and an object not intended to photograph by an easy photographing operation, and also, can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION:This photographing device 50 extracts a photographing element 2 in the lump by a dividing read-out circuit 8 at every area (A, B, C,...), and divides the inside of a memory 10 into zones in order to store correspondingly information of each area of the image pickup element 2. In an integral value containing area 10a and a distance information containing area 10b of each zone, the maximum integral of the image pickup element 2 and distance information at the time of becoming its maximum integral value are stored and held, respectively. At the time of reproduction, first of all, when a first pointing mark '#' and a second pointing mark '#' are held in an area of the top part of a tree and an area of the part of a person's face, respectively, and a release SW 14 is depressed, a distance between the top part of the tree and the part of the person's face is calculated, and a distance between objects to be photographed, which is not intended at the time of photographing can be obtained. |
