Integrated transformer-lamp unit for very low voltage lighting

The integrated transformer-lamp unit is fitted in the head of a lamp. The lamp head has a shell (5) housing the transformer-lamp unit and carrying a shade (7). The power supply cable (4) enters the rear of the shell. The transformer is housed in a cylindrical box (1) that fits inside the lamp head. The end of the cylindrical box has a fitting (9) to accept the base of the lamp bulb (8). Connections from the transformer secondary to the lamp socket are enclosed in the cylindrical box. The lamp bulb is of the reflective type.
