The luminous decoration has a box (1) housing a battery (2) that supplies a light bulb (5). The light from the bulb is concentrated by a parabolic reflector (6) onto the ends of a bundle of optical fibres (9) that are clamped by a ring (10). A switch (3) controls operation of the lamp. The light bulb may be replaced by a light emitting diode, and the battery replaced by a piezoelectric generator. The reflector may be uniform or formed from multiple flat segments. The unit is fabricated from plastic materials for light weight and good heat insulation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact and light source of illumination for decoration of clothing or interiors, with low heat generation and little risk of fire. |
