PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of an operating member for turning on an illumination means for an external display means and to turn on each illumination means only when necessary. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with a control means PRS controlling the driving of the illumination means for internal display ILED and the illumination means for external display OLAMP in accordance with output from a photometry means EYESNS detecting the luminance around the camera and ocular detection means ELED and EYESNS so as to control the turning on/off of the illumination means illuminating the internal display means arranged in a finder and the external display means arranged at the external part of the camera based on information on the luminance around the camera and information whether or not a photographer looks in the finder. |
