Evaluating radar signals

A radar antenna for sending and/or receiving radar signals is moved parallel to and at a small distance above the ground. The radar signals are transmitted into the ground and reflected there at an inhomogeneity, esp. an object. The reflected signals are converted into the video range and shown on a display screen. The radar signals are moved linearly along a main direction (z) and additionally periodically in a scan direction (x) perpendicular to the main direction. Video images corresp. to the scan direction are combined into video images, each associated with a point in the main direction. A three dimensional image of the object is formed from several video images (Bild 1 to Bild n) and displayed.
