The invention relates to novel 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane derivatives of formula (I) in which R<1> represents, mutually independently, H, a C1-C6 alkyl radical or a metal ion equivalent, R<2> represents, mutually independently, H, a methyl or an ethyl radical, X is a direct bond or a C1-C10 alkylene group or a C2-C23 alkylene group interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, in which the alkyl radicals and alkylene groups are optionally substituted by one or more hydroxy and/or lower alkoxy radicals and/or contain one or more carbonyl functions, and V is a radical of formula (II), their metal complexes, pharmaceuticals containing these compounds, their use in diagnosis and therapy and processes for producing these compounds and agents.
