The lateral profile portions (14) hold the cover portion of the window seat, while a cap portion (16) forms a front boundary of the lateral profile, with which it forms an integral connection (10). Pref. between the profile web (20) and the cover portion is located a spacer. The spacer is deformable or slidable such that the intermediate space between the cover and web is variable. Typically the spacer is a water seating and elastically deformable. The profile portion has several shanks (24).
