Printing press transfer drum with slewing function

The drum has a slewing and/or picture-regulating function. It has a main body in bearings in opposite machine walls, and on which discs are mounted, supporting a bridge-piece with grips. The body consists of a flexible tube (3), inside which is a bending mechanism (13) acting on it in the direction of the bridge-piece (5), which is tangential to the printing cylinder (1) bearing against it. The point at which force is exerted (16) is movable in relation to one of the machine walls (8). This point can be midway between the end discs (12) on the drum (2). The stiffness of the body can be nearly equal to that of the drum, and the body can bend in a parabolic manner.
