<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the secondary pollution due to an inducer by releasing the inducer for the manifestation of an enzyme which is used for restoring soil from the material of a carrier which can carry microorganisms in soil polluted by organic chlorine compounds, etc. CONSTITUTION:Microorganisms for restoring soil are held in a carrier by a method in which an inducer is incorporated or mixed into the material of the carrier, and the inducer is released or eluted partially and gradually by the decomposition, dissolution, or degradation of the carrier. In this way, the microorganisms for restoring soil are allowed to survive in the soil; the microorganrsms carried by the carrier are effectively fed with the inducer to induce the manifestation of an enzyme utilized for the decomposition of pollutants, attaining effective soil restoration. As a material of the carrier to contain the inducer, for example, polymers such as phenol resin including resol and novolak resins are preferably used.</p> |
