<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate installation work of cables by employing more than two messenger wires different in the twisting direction, free from the entwining of cables and improper twisting thereof. CONSTITUTION:More than two messenger wires 18 and 18' or the like different in the twisting direction are installed to a vertical shaft connected to a cable in such a manner that the twisting couple is cancelled by each other. For example, a cable drum 12 is build on the ground on one side of the shaft 10 while drums 14 and 14' holding messenger wires 18 and 18' in such a manner that the twisting of one messenger is different from that of the other are built on each side of the shaft. A cable lock bank 20 is mounted axially to the cable 16 at space. With wire clips 22 and 22' on both sides thereof respectively fixed to the messenger wires 18 and 18' the cable connected is lowered through the shaft 10 while the rotation of the drums 14 and 14' are being controlled by brakes 24 and 24'.</p> |
