PURPOSE:To enhance the separation efficiency of flocs by successively adding a flocculant and an anionic polyacrylamide compd. to a waste soln. in which a copolymer containing a phosphoric ester type unsaturated monomer unit is suspended to flocculate the copolymer suspended in the waste soln. to form flocs. CONSTITUTION:In treating a waste soln. wherein 10wt.% or less, pref., 0.1-8wt.% of a copolymer is suspended in an aq. phase, at first, a flocculant is added to the waste soln. so that the concn. thereof is pref. set to 250-5000mg/l with respect to the total amt. of the waste soln. to be mixed with the waste soln. under stirring to form fine flocs of the copolymer. As the flocculant, aluminum sulfate or an iron compd. such as ferric chloride is designated. Next, an anionic polyacrylamide compd. is added to the waste soln. so that the concn. thereof is pref. 2-50 mg/l with respect to the total amt. of the waste soln. to form coarse flocs of the copolymer. Thereafter, the copolymer is efficiently separated from the waste soln. by solid-liquid separation. |
