Apparatus for replenishing the toner in xerographic copiers comprises a developer reservoir 16, a metering plate 31, controlled by an actuator 32, which supplies toner to the reservoir from a container 17, a plate 40 connected to a capacitor (52), and a sensor (50) for sensing the toner charge, the sensor electromagnetically actuating the actuator 32 via an amplifier when the charge sensed during one revolution of the xerographic drum 14 falls below a pre-set level. A cam (53) is provided on the shaft SH-1 of drum 14 for operating switches (44), (46) to discharge capacitor (52) through sensor (50) once per revolution.</p> |
