The water chamber (2) consists of three side walls (3), a base (4) and a top cover (5), as well as a partly open front wall for the entry of the waves, which are acted on with a pressure by the oscillating wave movement, so that a corresp. electric current flow results. The sunk caisson (1) can be established at the sea bed or can be arranged floating and anchored. The caisson represents a part or also the total entity of a wave breaker, for the protection of a coastal strip or a harbour installation.
