Use of bioflavonoids such as rutin or quercetin

The following are claimed: (A) use of bioflavonoids, esp. rutin, citrin, quercetin, hesperidin, naringin or derivs. of these, in skin care agents such as creams, gels or lotions, for inactivation of protein-cleaving enzymes (esp. hyaluronidase and/or collagenase) which promote skin ageing processes. (B) skin care agents, such as creams, gels or lotions, comprising (a) bioflavonoids and (b) moisture-binding agents such as collagen and/or hyaluronic acid.
