PURPOSE:To obtain the yarn having excellent dark colorability and durability by copolymerizing a polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate as a repeating unit with a specific alicyclic compound, forming fine unevenness on the surface of the yarn. CONSTITUTION:A polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate as a repeating unit is mixed, for example, before polycondensation reaction, with 2-20 mol % of an alicyclic compound of formula I ((m) is 0, 1 or 2) and/or formula II (R is H or a lower alkyl; (n) is 0, 1 or 2) based on a dicarboxylic acid component constituting the polyester and 0.5-10 wt.% of inorganic particles (preferable example, colloidal silica) eluting in an alkali, having <=80mmu average particle diameter and copolymerized to give a polymer, which is spun. The prepared polymer yarn is woven to give woven fabric, which is treated with an alkali and unevenness is formed on the surface of the yarn to provide polyester yarn having excellent dark colorability and dry touch of crispy feeling. The formed unevenness has <=1.5 color difference DELTAE*a, b to friction and excellent wear resistance and effect of dyeability caused by unevenness maintains for a long period of time. |
