PURPOSE:To obtain the subject inhibitor capable of being expected to prevent metastasis of cancer and inflammation, prepared from beta amyloid protein precursor(APP), comprising a peptide analog composed of an activity minimum unit of gelatinase A activity inhibitor as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:Human bl-adder cancer cell strain EJ-1 is cultured for two days and a supernatant liquid is separated from the culture solution. The supernatant liquid is purified by affinity chromatography and anion exchange chromatography to give a peptide analog comprising a peptide from 18L (Len) to 687K (Lys) of an amino acid sequence of beta amyloid protein precursor(APP) of formula I as a main constituent component, composed of an activity minimum unit of gelatinase A activity inhibitor or a peptide analog containing the same. The peptide analog as an active ingredient is pharmaceutically manufactured to give the objective gelatinase A activity inhibitor capable of being expected to inhibit activity of gelatinase A in vivo conducting metastasis of cancer and to prevent metastasis of cancer.
