PURPOSE:To record an image good in the whiteness of a background part on an optically fixable thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:An image is thermally recorded on a thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a diazo compd. and a coupling component both of which are microencapsulated at least along with 2-phenylacetophenone derivative and/or a chitosan derivative is provided on a support. In this case, the image is thermally fixed by the quantity of light 1.5 times or more that necessary for optically decomposing the total amt. of the diazo compd. |
