PURPOSE:To provide a fuel cell in which increasing an electrode reaction area can be attained in the same plate size. CONSTITUTION:A stack 4 is constituted by interposing a pair of gas separating plates 2, 3 between plates, and also the first supply/discharge holes 5, 6 for supplying/discharging the one reaction gas and the second supply/discharge holes 7, 8 for supplying/discharging the other reaction gas are provided in each cell to pass though in the cell stack 4 in a layer built direction, to form the first grooves 13, 14 communicating with the first supply/discharge holes 5, 6 in one surface of the plate 1 and the second grooves 15, 16 communicating with the second supply/discharge holes 7, 8 in the other surface. Communication holes 19, 20 communicating with the first grooves 13, 14 are provided to pass through in lengthwise direction both ends of a rib 17 of the gas separating plate 2 adjacent to the plate 1 formed with the first grooves 13, 14, and communication holes 23, 24 communicating with the second grooves 15, 16 are provided to pass through in lengthwise direction both ends of a rib 21 of the separating plate 3 adjacent to the plate 1 formed with the second grooves 15, 16. |
