JUMPER DEVICE FOR SHORT LENGTH AERIAL TRANSMISSION LINE

PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a steel tower arm while stabilizing the shape of a jumper line by supporting both end sections of a rigid conductor by support members hung down from connecting fittings at the front end sections of tension insulator runs and connecting the external ends of flexible conductors to anchor clamps. CONSTITUTION:A jumper line is composed of an aluminum pipe 3a and stranded conductors 3b connected at both ends. The intermediate section of the aluminum pipe 3a is supported by an insulator 13 suspended toward the tip from the mounting points P of the tension insulator runs of a steel tower arm 7, both end sections of the aluminum pipe 3a are supported by rod-shaped support members 17 hung down from connecting fittings 15 at the front end sections of tension insulator runs 9, and the aluminum pipe 3a is kept approximately horizontal. The external ends of the stranded conductors 3b bonded with both ends of the aluminum pipe 3a are connected to anchor clamps 19, and may be bent in an approximately vertical plane. Accordingly, the length of the arm of the steel tower of a short length the aerial transmission line can be shortened while the shape of the jumper line can be kept approximately constant.
