BOX FOR TRANSFERRING GLASS SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE:To provide a box for transferring a glass substrate which has excellent handling characteristic, transferability and protective property for glass substrate and which can be manufactured at far lower cost as compared to the conventional one. CONSTITUTION:At least a body 1 of a box is constituted by a foam resin (particularly polyolefin foam) having an expansion ratio of 3-30, and a pair of opposed surfaces of the inner surface of the body 1 are formed into grooves 4 for supporting a glass substrate, thereby forming the box for transferring the glass substrate. It is preferable that the inner surface of the body 1 is formed into a skin structure having higher density than that of the interior of wall. The inner surface of the body 1 can be formed from an expanded material containing a conductive polymer or an antistatic material.
