摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress generation of NOx by mounting gas mixers in heat storage layers of burner units of an alternating combustion burner to be alternately switched to be burned with the two burner units having the storage layers, generating storage heat lean combustion reaction, and introducing residual gas from a downstream side of the storage layer. CONSTITUTION:Gas mixers 3 are installed in heat storage layers 2 of burner units A, B of an alternating combustion burner 1, and a residual gas injection unit 4 is installed at a combustion gas guide unit 5 at a downstream side of the layer 2. When exhaust gas burned in the unit A is exhausted from the other unit B, its sensible heat is recovered by the layer 2 of the unit B. At the sequential time of switching the burners, the air is introduced from a lower part of the layer 2 of the unit B, simultaneously gas of 10-25% of entire combustion amount is introduced from the mixer 3 into the layer 2, and the gas and the air are preferably mixed to be preheated. It is burned to be reacted in a high temperature part 6, the combustion gas receives the residual gas from the unit 4 at the downstream side of the layer 2 and completely burns in a furnace 7.
