摘要 A process for reducing the metallic Hg content of flue gases, especially from sewage sludge incineration plant, uses solid adsorbents such as activated carbon, activated coke, open hearth furnace coke or molecular sieves. The adsorbents may, if necessary, also contain calcium hydroxide, powdered limestone and/or powdered calcium aluminium silicate and/or inert solid materials. The gases are brought into contact with adsorbent materials which are saturated with HgCl2 and/or other Hg(II) compounds. Also claimed is a device for carrying out this process which consists of a flow-stream reactor or fluidised bed reactor containing the solid adsorbent material described above.
