Controlling access to redundant transmission channels in bus system

The sending subscriber (1) transmits a message simultaneously over two channels (a,b) via separate lines (3,2) and receives on two other lines (4,5) for evaluation of starting and check symbols. The receiving subscriber receives the message on one channel and simultaneously overhears the other. A message is redirected for processing when the latest message arrives over the channels. Advantageously the channel conveying the latest message is chosen for reception. Another message can be transmitted in response immediately after the conclusion of reception without interference with delayed messages on the other channels.
