<p>The improvement in the decompsn. of t.Bu hydroperoxide (TBHP) mainly to t.BuOH by agitating a solvent soln. of TBHP in the liq. phase in contact with a hydroperoxide decompsn. catalyst is that the catalyst comprises Rh on a carbon or alumina support. PREFERRED FEATURES - The charge stock comprises 5-30 wt.% TBHP in t.BuOH or in a mixt. of t.BuOH and isobutane. Contact with the catalyst is at 25-250 0 C and 0-1000 psig, with the catalyst contg. 0.1-1 wt.% Rh.</p> |
