PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device that is able to install a pin at the side of a case in securing the supporting strength of this pin engaging a breakaway part of cover material even if aiming at the promotion of lightweightiness in the case, and to reduce the weight of this unit itself. CONSTITUTION:A cover material 22 is installed in an opening part 6a of a case 6 covering the perimeter of an air bag 1. This cover material 22 is provided with an engaging part 23a which is equipped with an engaging hole 23b receiving a pin 12 installed in the case (6) side, and opens the cover material 22 in releasing an engagement between the pin 12 and the engaging hole 23b in time of inflating the air bag 1. In this connection, the pin 12 is installed in the case 6 in a state that both ends are supported by a peripheral wall 8 of the case 6 and a bracket 11 attached tight to this peripheral wall 8. |
