PURPOSE:To obtain a (meth)acrylic acid (salt) polymer used as a poultice base excellent in general properties including stockiness, thickenability, shapability and mixability. CONSTITUTION:A (meth)acrylic acid (salt) having a water content of below 10wt.% and a degree of neutralization of 50mol% or below is heat-treated under the conditions satisfying the following relationships to obtain a heat- treated (meth)acrylic acid (salt): 100<=TXlogM<=400 and 120<=T<=300, wherein T is the temperature ( deg.C) and M is the time (min). |
