PURPOSE:To make it possible to stop a motor automatically when opening and shutting operation reaches the stroke end, to eliminate the burying of a harness in the ground, and contrive to get no damage by the collision with an outside obstacle to evade an erroneous operation in an opening and shutting drive mechanism of an expansion gate car having such a system that a sprocket is rotated by a motor to push forward or haule in a push-pull chain and that a free end frame of the expansion gate door mounted to the front end of the push-pull chain. CONSTITUTION:A sprocket 8 is reotated by a motor, and a push-pull chain 7 is driven. A driving projection 12 is provided to the push-pull chain 7, a limit switch 11 is operated, and a driving circuit of the motor is automatically controlled.
