<p>PURPOSE:To provide an opening for scanning a sensor and extended in the direction crossing the sheet material carrying direction in a device having a sensor for detecting side edge position of a sheet material and provided at a part of a sheet material carrying passage inside of an image forming device, and to provide a means for preventing a catch of a sheet material without generating operation error of a sensor in this opening. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 10 for scanning in the direction crossing the sheet material carrying direction is provided inside of a sheet material carrying passage. Linear or belt-like members 20, 21 are provided in an opening 15, which is provided in one surface of the sensor 10, and an opening 16, which is provided in the other surface of the carrying passage, at positions crossing the scanning direction of the sensor 10.</p> |
