<p>Glowing of welding seams, such as in reservoirs of a thickness of more than 30 mm, is carried out by high capacity burners acting perpendicularly to the welding seam at the inside and on the covering side, obliquely or opposite each other, by which a structural change anr/or a stress-free condition is produced in the material. The welding seam is led through the normal flame or the normal flame is led over the seam pref. at a rate of 25-30 mm per minute during normal glowing, and at 50-60 mm per minute during stress free glowing, the rate of movement being adapted to the thickness of the material.</p> |
