PURPOSE:To reduce the time required to clear up the cause of a fault and the operation of a maintenance personnel of going to an unattended station by taking in the number of errors per frame from the error rate monitor terminal of an electric communication equipment and transmitting the number of errors to an information processing means. CONSTITUTION:A monitor station monitors plural remote monitor devices 42 through a distributing and synthesizing device 45. Each remote monitor device 42 reads the output pulse count of the BER(bit error rate) monitor terminal of a device 41 to be monitored. This device 41 detects the presence or the absence of bit error in each frame based on values of parity check bits and BER bits, and the device 41 outputs the pulse to the BER monitor terminal only when detecting the frame having the error. The remote monitor device 42 transmits information, which is received from the device 41 to be monitored, to a monitor station MODEM 44 through a MODEM 43 of a station to be monitored. This information is collected by a small-sized information processor 46 of the monitor station and is outputted to a printer 47. |
