PURPOSE:To configure the D/A conversion circuit capable of realizing a linear operation area and a saturation operation area with a smaller number of components. CONSTITUTION:A selector 23 is formed by pulling up one side of an input through the use of a selector IC having a control terminal setting an output to all '0s' such as a strobe terminal. A comparator circuit 22 identifies whether or not input digital data in N-bits are within a predetermined range and provides an output of the data value when the result of identification indicates that the data are within the prescribed range and provides an output of all '0s' at a control terminal or a pulled-up input alternatively. The output is converted into analog data at a D/A converter circuit 24. When the result of identification is a value within a predetermined range, the conversion circuit conducts linear operation and when the result of identification is a value at the outside of a predetermined range, the conversion circuit conducts saturating operation. |
