<p>PURPOSE:To improve the performance of head lamps also serving as side marker lamps by providing a side marker lamp light source at the position of a reflecting mirror outside the effective range of a lens and a return reflecting mirror at the position outside the effective range of the lens approximately facing the side marker lamp light source to return light from the side marker lamp to the position inside the effective range of the lens of the reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:A head lamp also serving as a side marker lamp 1 has a side marker lamp light source 5 provided at the position of a reflecting mirror 3 outside the effective range D of a lens 4 and a return reflecting mirror 6 at the position outside the effective range D of the lens 4 approximately facing the side marker lamp light source 5 to return light from the side marker 5 to the position inside the effective range of the reflecting mirror 3. In this way, light from the light source 5 provided outside the effective range of the lens 4 is put in abutment on the reflecting mirror 3 by using the reflecting mirror 6 provided outside the effective range of the lens 4. As a result, the reflecting mirror 3, which determines the distribution characteristics and brightness of the head lamp, dispenses with a change for the additional function of the side marker lamp.</p> |
