PURPOSE:To provide the solar type light emitting block of a resource saving type which uses a maintenance-free power source and emits light when night falls by accumulating the electric energy from the solar batteries in an energy receiving part into a power capacitor of a large capacity. CONSTITUTION:A block body 1 is formed of concrete or tough plastics and is provided with a light emitting section 2 which contains a light emitting lamp L and has a reflector at its front center. The light emitting section 2 is circumferentially provided with a light receiving surface 4a of the solar batteries 4, by which the energy receiving section 41 is composed. A protective plate 8 having good light transmissivity is stuck onto the front surface of the block body 1, i.e., the surface inclusive of the light emitting part 2 of the energy receiving section 41. The power generation energy from the solar batteries 4 is supplied to the power capacitor, by which the charging is executed. An illuminance sensor switch turns on and the charges accumulated in the power capacitor are discharged and sent to a lighting control circuit, by which the light emitting lamp L is driven to be lighted when night falls. |
