Device for processing a strip of dough layered up into a stack, in particular a strip of dough stacked up in a serpentine shape, a receiving table being provided to receive the stack and being provided with a displacing device for the stepwise horizontal displacement of the stack in a conveying direction. An individualisation table is arranged directly after the receiving table in the conveying direction, so that part of the stack is pushed through a predeterminable advance by the displacing device of the receiving table over the edge of the receiving table onto the individualisation table. A transverse separating device is provided for separating the part of the stack on the individualisation table from the part of the stack on the receiving table with a displacing device having the same conveying direction as the conveying direction of the displacing device of the receiving table, and a longitudinal separating device is arranged on the individualisation table for dividing the separated stack sections.
