The present invention relates to a keyboard for inputting data into a computer, the keyboard housing parts, which can be pushed together, rotating the heads of the keys (which are positioned in rows) with the aid of a three-armed lever mechanism (which is located between the keys) while being pushed together through 90 DEG to the side around their cruciform carrier and subsequently being pushed into one another, with the key caps and carriers, or being pushed closely side by side. After operation, the keyboard makes it possible to reduce the volume of the keyboard considerably, the arrangement, number or size of the keys remaining the same as in a standard keyboard.
