Gas or oil heated water heater, in particular for external wall connection, with a waste gas blower (14) which is arranged above the heat exchanger (10) and to which there is connected according to the invention a probe tube (26) which leads to an opening (38) in the front jacket sheet (24) of the device. The opening of the probe tube (26), which faces the jacket sheet (24), is closed tightly by a removable closure member (36) and the opening (38) in the jacket sheet (24) is preferably covered by a screen (40) which can be designed as a brand shield or the like. As a result of the arrangement according to the invention of a probe tube, perfect measurement of the waste gas temperature and composition, even in the case of external wall devices, and perfect closing of the measuring opening is possible. <IMAGE> |
