Air filter material, use and production thereof

Air filter material for collecting dust, which filter material is free of lubricants and antistatic agents, comprising a mixture of (I) polyolefin fibres and (II) polyacrylonitrile fibres, the filter material being dimensionally stable, the fibres (I) being polypropylene/polyethylene bicomponent fibres of the core/sheath or side-by-side type and the fibres (II) being free of halogen. In the production process, the fibre mixture is washed. The use of the air filter material is specified.
