A horizontal-vertical roll stand having a pair of working rolls insertable in the stand in an interchangeable manner by means of insert pieces and adjusting spindles is advantageously designed for rapid interchange of rolls in that it has a stand frame (2) which is formed by four corner, essentially rectangular, pillars (4, 4'; 5, 5') which start from a common base plate (3) and form between themselves and the base plate (3) a cuboidal receiving space (6), which is upwardly open and open at the sides, for a cassette-shaped roll-insertion set (10) which can be pulled upwards out of the stand (1) as a constructional unit when the rolls (30, 31) are being changed, in each case pairs of pillars (4, 4') or (5, 5') forming between themselves guides (13, 13'; 14, 14') on which a total of four supporting plates (11, 11'; 12, 12') are fastened detachably, each supporting plate having a central mount (17, 17'; 18, 18') for four adjusting spindles (20, 20'; 21, 21'), the adjusting spindles bearing, on right/left threaded regions (32, 33), adjusting nuts (37, 37'; 38, 38') which, by means of cylindrical projections (43, 43'; 44, 44'), engage in each case in pairs into insert pieces (15, 15'; 16, 16') of the rolls (30, 31) and adjust them. <IMAGE>
