In prior art rotary droplet-formers, which are fitted with a guide, the guide is centred, by mounting it in a holder, with a pin located at a recess at the free end of the stationary drum. This is unnecessarily complicated. The invention proposes that the free end of the stationary drum is allowed to extend out beyond the rotating drum and that the swivel arm for the guide is secured in place by a ring which embraces the cylindrical end and by a coupling. This disposition permits longitudinal displacement caused by thermal expansion. The invention is intended for use in rotary devices for converting melts into droplets.
